Winter trek
3-Day snow shoe trek in the Pormenaz region, near Chamonix
5th - 9th March 2026
This will be a trek through the mountains in the region of Pormenaz, near Chamonix (or other region if weather is bad there). Thursday night and Sunday night we'll stay in a simple hut. Friday and Saturday nights we'll be camping in tents.
Winter snow treks are a lot of fun... plenty of snow, and the wonderful atmosphere of forest and mountains in the quiet winter.
We'll have time for experiencing nature and seeking together about the virtue of fortitude and its different sub-virtues of patience, perseverance and hope. We'll also think about God's silent presence in our lives.
This trek is open to anyone interested in experiencing nature and thinking together.
A kit list will be published here early January.
On our trek we'll have times of prayer and reflexion on this year's theme.

The cost is €50 excl. travel to and from Geneva airport. Please book your own flights.
Please arrive Thursday 5th March (preferably afternoon or evening) at Geneva airport or at Servoz (Haute Savoie) or St Gervais-Le Fayet train stations, and plan to leave on Monday 9th March. We'll be hiking from Friday morning to Sunday evening. The group size will be around 10 people.
